Tim Parsons is a product designer and a writer and lecturer on matters "design". He is interested in, and applies, a broad range of approaches, exploiting the ways that design, education and criticism inform one another. Drawing influence from both craft and industrial design, his design projects have examined notions of familiarity, functionality and the qualities of materials and processes. He has worked with manufacturers in Britain and Europe and exhibited widely, including at The Design Museum, London. His London studio works on commissions across genres encompassing tableware, lighting, accessories and furniture and he has contributed articles and essays to publications including Blueprint and Phaidon's Design Classics.
