techno project

For the techno project i took ideas from the last project. The padlock project in which i found another use for the padlock by opening it,and attaching hooks within so that it could be used as a key hook.I found the padlock itself a harsh and unattractive object so i think this led me into wanting to create something very delicate.

I used the circular shape of the padlock as a starting point and experimented using steel, tin and copper.I found that copper worked best.I wanted to create very intricate designs on the copper and so used lace to print onto the copper.

The idea of the key holder in the photograph is that you can pull out certain parts of the flower or leaves if you needed to hang your key.If not,you could fold it back so its more of a decorative piece.I used alot of lace, floral imagery and magazine cutouts for inspiration.
