I decided to join the 3D MCP course at Camberwell after studying for a year at Brighton University, taking the Wood/Metal/Ceramic/Plastics Course. In Brighton I felt the approach to design/craft was primarily from a visual, aesthetic point of view: at Camberwell the focus is more experimental, and has allowed me to explore my own different ideas and feelings about objects without pressure to create a final piece in the traditional sense.
I am interested in simple making-processes - such as knitting and weaving - that have been used in the home for hundreds of years by different families, and passed on like stories and family heirlooms.
